Major repairs of cranes produced in EU are carried out when the safe working period (SWP) expires. The safe working period for crane hoist produced by SWF Krantechnik and KONECRANES Latvija  is 100%. The safe working period expires when SWP is zero. After expiration of SWP it is necessary to carry out the major repair after which the new safe working period is settled.

There is a possibility to increase the operation term thanks to major repairs. The replacement of all parts, which are subject to compulsory substitution with an aim to prolong the operation term of equipment is included into the work content.
